Meet Winnie. Winnie will be an exciting part of our class this year.
Winnie is a bear that loves to go on adventures. She is always looking forward to new experiences and helping friends with transitions. Winnie loves to introduce friends to new ideas, and show them all about what she is up to.
I am introducing Winnie as a friend in the classroom who will get to go home on weekends with our preschoolers. Each family will get a weekend with Winnie (we will rotate throughout the year, and may get to do more than one weekend). My intention is for Winnie to help create a home-school connection while introducing the children to many different experiences.
Winnie will come home with a journal for the children to draw pictures about what things they did with Winnie. If possible, we would love to see photographs of Winnie's weekend. Parents are welcome to help scribe for their children in the journal about something they did with Winnie.I will have an example post coming soon.
On Mondays during circle children will get to tell the class what they did with Winnie over the weekend.
Winnie won't start her weekend adventures until September 14th.
